I’m so excited to reveal the plans for my guest bathroom makeover. The goal of this renovation is short and sweet – with maximum impact!

I have always planned on gutting this bathroom as part of our complete house renovation. Considering it is one of the least utilized rooms in our house, it will probably be one of the last projects we take on.

With that being said, we host a lot of guests for the football season and I thought it would be nice to give this bathroom a little refresh to make it nice for our guests before the season gets into full swing. I’m considering this PHASE 1 of this bathroom remodel – with the intent to possibly renovate it in its entirety down the road.

Here’s where we are starting!

This cosmetic renovation means I will be replacing, updating or painting anything that I can without demo. For a bathroom, that’s quite a bit! The obvious options are painting and updating hardware. I am choosing to replace all of those standard builder-grade fixtures as well. The mirror, lighting, faucet, toilet – all of these items are getting a much-needed update.

I chose a neutral palette for this bathroom as it flows from the main space in our home. Most of my home has very neutral colors, so I wanted this bathroom to be an extension of the rest of the house.

I took the last week to get organized and get most of the materials ordered. The goal is for this project can go as smoothly and quickly as possible!

I will have lots of fun updates for this bathroom over the next week so stay tuned!
