A quick reminder of where this room started! The progress in Alice’s room is moving right along and I’m excited to share what’s next.

I love a good white box to start any room design – the possibilities are endless!

I can’t believe what a difference the installed wallpaper made in this room. The shiplap on the ceiling is also such a nice textural layer. I have updated most of our bedroom window treatments except Alice’s bedroom. These original window shades are definitely not what I have in mind for a final design so I’m narrowing down a final fabric to bring some personality to this window nook.

I’ve used Uptown Drapes for most of my window treatments so I pulled out some samples and really love the feel of the “Lounge Stripe” in here. (Code MPS5 saves you 5% if you’re looking for some amazing drapes or shades.)

This is the wall where the built-in desk and storage will go. I’m currently working on this build and am really happy with how it’s coming out. I went back and forth between closed and open storage but ultimately decided on open storage on the top so the room didn’t feel too heavy. I pinned a ton of options on this built-in desk pinterest board and ultimately went with this open shelving version as my inspiration.

We recently installed new doors in the whole house and I couldn’t be more in love. The traditional yet modern vibes are perfect. I have gold pocket door hardware on the way!

I love the interest shiplap can add to a ceiling. I bought 7.5″ pre-primed boards and am still deciding on what color to paint them. We’ve had this Jenny Lind Bed for years and years and I don’t think I’ll be able to part with it anytime soon. I feel like it will grow with my girls (or boys) through the years!

I don’t have a final plan for this wall yet but I do think I need to replace her dresser with something more traditional… currently on the hunt but I’ve narrowed it down to something like this white and gold dresser.

It’s all coming together! The big question in here is: rug or no rug! I haven’t found any that I’m in love with just yet for this room but I am going to keep looking!
