Powder Rooms are so fun to design because they are small and intimate and they are the perfect place to add bold color and design choices. This is the main bathroom on our main floor and one that all our guests will use. It will be the first whole room renovation in this house and I’m excited to jump in and make it our own!

I’ll be replacing all the fixtures in the space and painting it a moody grey green. This mirror I will be keeping and moving to a different room – I’m thinking it will make the perfect princess mirror for a grown up princess room for Abi.

The ceilings are tall and there is this transom above the window. I ordered a reeded glass detail to replace this so it doesn’t feel so hospitalish… I can’t wait to get that in!

This floor will eventually be getting replaced so I have to think about the trim in a way that won’t connect with any of the casings or baseboards since those will be getting ripped out. The only thing that makes sense is a box moulding detail on the walls.
Something like this below from Mysha over at Remington Avenue is my jumping off point.. it adds just the right amount of interest and detail to an otherwise plain painted wall.

Here’s the design board for this room… I’m sure there is no surprise there is a little green (or a lot) in the design. This wallpaper from Sandberg is so beautiful yet modern. I can’t wait to see it on the walls.
